This modern circular dining table was designed to have maximum presence in a small footprint. I have shown this piece in a number of venues because of the smaller size and it had clearly articulated my interest in the circular dining table. The expectation of a consistent circle falls away as I squeeze and pull the table out of perfect round. Each movement is balanced by another. I find myself whirling around the table acting and reacting. The legs and stretchers are part of this dance since they are pulled to the outermost edge of the table and they even push up above the table top and anchor a dramatic thickness transition in the already thick top.
