Contemporary Console Table With a Gestural Stance

Ash and steam bent Maple combine with sweeps and curves in this contemporary console table.  The wall is brought into the composition by the curve that pushes a at the back edge of the table.  The negative shape created by this movement  is framed by the wall and the "push" ripples throughout the rest of the piece.  The legs are long and slender giving the table its height.  The contact points with the ground reward the viewer for taking the time to traverse the long leg.
