Contemporary Bench With Striking Contrast

Bench #13 is a contemporary bench that is long and slender, perfect for any hallway.  The Sapele has been treated with a chemical that emulates 100 years of aging.  The is that the color is from the wood, not a pigment, so the bench practically glows.  The contrast with the white cast concrete is dramatic, adding to the benches presence.  The seat has a subtle angle to add to the comfort and to break the flat seat plane.  The dramatic movement of the shifting wood that  makes up the seat completes the composition.
