Large Sculptural Modern Bench

Outdoor bench #4 is a modern bench made of Sapele wood, concrete and introduces Stainless Steel into my work.  I have fabricated brackets that allow me to suspend the back in a way that I was not previously able.  The floating back introduced new concerns and needed to be anchored visually.   I brought the cast concrete legs up to serve as that visual punctuation and, as a bonus, they also serve as arm rests.  The composition is different than the benches that came earlier in this series because of the inclusion of the stainless components.  I look forward to using stainless again in future pieces.
