Contemporary Funky Wood Bench

This contemporary wood bench builds on the vocabulary that I established in Outdoor Bench #1.  The system of the stacked shifting legs and the layered seat is full of endless variation so I can build the next bench without compromising the one-of-a-kind presence that is essential to my work.  No other piece that I have designed is more basic than this bench- every piece of wood is essential as structure and decoration at the same time. In fact I enjoy building this bench so much that I suspect I could design a whole line based on it.
